SECURITY

Great Effort Limited take security very seriously and have therefore put stringent checks on the material being placed on this site.

All downloaded photographs will be checked and approved by a member of the Great Effort team, and any unsuitable images will be removed immediately. Any obscene images will be reported to the relevant authorities. If you do not wish to use a photograph of your child, you can choose a fun cartoon image from our image library instead. Please remember that the picture you choose, whether a cartoon or photograph, will appear on Gus’ Gallery and possibly Gus’ Golden Star. These areas of the website are accessible to all registered users.

On every reward chart there is the opportunity to email the site administrator to report inappropriate material.

It is possible for anyone to set up a reward chart on this site therefore allowing not only mums and dads but also teachers, nannies, childminders, grandparents etc. to create reward charts for children. However, if you are not the child’s mother or father, you will be asked to provide one parent’s name and address in order for Great Effort Limited to contact them and inform them of their child’s participation on great-effort.com. We will remove any child on the request of one parent.

In order to add a reward chart, you will need to provide all your own personal details and assign passwords. You will then be asked for these passwords whenever you wish to edit or update the chart. This is mainly to prevent children from boosting their own progress!

Great Effort Limited is committed to protecting the security of your data. We therefore use a variety of security technologies and procedures to help protect your personal information from unauthorised access, use or disclosure.

When we transmit sensitive information such as your credit card number and address details over the internet, we protect it through the use of 128-bit encryption certificates and the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocol - the industry-standard method for protecting web communications.
